Our organization honors our current returning combat veterans by producing and donating a free welcome home banner to the families of returning veterans. About 2x4 feet in size it has the veterans name rank and branch of service logo. The banners are donated to us by local sign shops we just supply the artwork. The families love these and display them proudly in their neighborhoods. One family told us that at their welcome home party that all the guests and family members signed and dated the banner thus having it become a treasured keepsake for a lifetime.
We also honor current active duty military units with a thank you banner signed by many of the citizens in the local community. We do this to remind the community that all Vietnam Veterans do not wear military jungle fatigues, seem to have a hard time taking a bath on a regular basis, take drugs, sleep in the streets and beg for money at street corners. We Vietnam Veterans are fiercely proud of our service and we will honor all those who have served and are serving today. Returning Veterans suffer a high incidence of suicide and PTSD. We are uniquely qualified to help our returning combat Veterans because many of us in our organization have suffered and overcome these terrible illnesses.
We view our efforts as an important special recognition and a great memento of their service.
We are a 501 c (3) organization 100% of your donation helps Veterans.
